Alex Kline is a Ramsey, MN native, and has invested himself into the golf industry as a teaching and playing professional. Currently in the apprentice level at the PGA of America, his knowledge of the game of golf provides a perfect avenue to help you improve. Golf has taught him invaluable lessons and provided experiences that have allowed him to grow as an instructor and relationship builder. Alex and Brent have been working together since 2014, as Brent was his instructor through college and as a playing professional. Being a student of Brent’s for four years has prepared him to make smooth transition into the BSG staff.
After graduating from Elk River High School, Alex began his college career at the University of South Dakota where he was named to the All Summit League Team his sophomore year. Upon transferring to Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ, Alex continued his success as a Division I college player leading his team in scoring average, multiple Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Golfer of the Week awards, and named to the All WAC team in his final season. Once graduated, he turned professional and began his career in the golf business.
While acting as the head women’s golf coach at Black Hills State University for the 2018 season, Alex lead the Yellow Jackets to their best finish in their conference championship since making the transition from NAIA to NCAA Division II in 2013. Along with the team’s record setting finish, an individual posted a personal best under his watch. Alex’s coaching experience at the high school and college level proves his ability to relate to each individual student and cater to their specific needs.
